Elisa Timms started dancing at age 3 and never looked back! She has participated in performing groups, competition teams, show choirs, color guards and dance teams. While participating in the dance team at Columbia River HS, Elisa’s favorite role was Rumple Teaser in Cats where DFNW owner Carla happened to be coaching that year!
Elisa began her teaching career at Yauna’s Jazz Plus directly out of high school, also becoming the color guard coach at Fort Vancouver High School. While in college, Elisa became involved in theater and was a staple in Blue Parrot Theater and Clark College Theater productions. Some of her favorite roles include: Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors, Ethel Toffelmier in The Music Man, Lucinda in Into the Woods, a Follies girl in Will Roger’s Follies, and The Pursor in Anything Goes.
As a choreographer for Clark College and Blue Parrot Children’s Theater, she worked on Bye Bye Birdie, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Hair and The Wizard of Oz. Additionally, Elisa choreographed and worked with Christian Youth Theater (now Journey Theater) teaching tap classes and choregraphing Scrooged.
Prior to Covid, Elisa developed and ran the popular ‘Broadway Kids’ program at the Firstenburg Community Center and we are thrilled to be adding that to our Dance Fusion classes! Dance has always been Elisa’s passion and part of her soul. She loves the arts and all that it brings for the performers as well as the audience, and she is excited to now be joining the Dance Fusion team!
